New Mexico Homeschool Community

Since 2005 I started to see a need for more connection within the homeschooling community so that families could be aware of events and classes that might enhance their learning experiences as many of us use our community as a part of our classroom. What started as a collection of email addresses and it has now grown to connect hundreds of individuals and groups throughout the State of New Mexico as well as bordering states and now throughout the southwestern US.

We are network of homeschoolers, both groups and individuals primarily in New Mexico but also including the states of Texas, Colorado and Arizona. This community welcomes all religions, all cultures, all styles of homeschooling and teaching!

If you are not homeschooling but just looking for more educational opportunities for your family we welcome you also.  The New Mexico Homeschool Community, while being primarily for homeschoolers, supports a family's choice in the education of their children and we empower parents with the freedom to choose what is best for their family's needs.

For the general purpose of these forums the term 'homeschooling' will be used to represent all methods of schooling outside the traditional public or private schools.
